Phi Psi Zeta Komen Race Team (Posted 2008-07-02)
The Ladies of Phi Psi Zeta Chapter have put together a team to help raise funds for the upcoming Komen Race for the Cure, which will take place Saturday, Oct. 18, in Dallas. The team, called "Team Z.E.T.A.S." (Z-HOPE Emphasizing Total Awareness and Screenings), is asking all to visit its Komen page or the personal page of Soror Felicia Abdullah. All donations are tax-deductible.

North Dallas Frat Running to Benefit AIDS (Posted 2008-07-02)
Bro. Jack Givens (Omicron Sigma, Greater North Dallas) will participate in the Dallas AIDS Arms, Inc. LifeWalk, a 5K benefitting AIDS awareness on Sunday, Oct. 5, through Dallas' Turtle Creek and Uptown locations. Bro. Givens, running for the second year, is asking for all to help sponsor his run with a tax-deductible donation. He has a goal of raising $500. Make a donation on his website.

Sigma Beta Club Round-Up Conference (Posted 2008-08-13)

• This year's conference will be consisting of 7th - 12th graders from across the State of Texas.

• For this conference, each participant MUST register through the nearest Phi Beta Sigma graduate chapter in advance. Undergraduate chapters CANNOT register a SBC participant.

• We are encouraging all active graduate chapters to participant in sponsoring any interested participants that would want to attend the Round-Up conference.

• As a graduate chapter, you DO NOT have to be an active SBC chapter to sponsor this event.

• Parents/Guardians are encouraged to register and attend the Round-Up conference to see 1) what opportunities that Phi Beta Sigma can offer to a participant’s growth in reference of the Fraternity having a youth auxiliary component and 2) to encourage the Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma to take a more active role into chartering and maintaining an Sigma Beta Club within their community.

• All registration forms and fees MUST BE collected through the sponsored active graduate chapter and then mailed to the SBC director. IF an individual packet (that is not mailed by an active graduate chapter) is mailed to the Texas SBC director, all contents WILL NOT be processed and will be returned via mail.

• All applications and fees MUST be postmarked by December 5, 2008.

• There will be NO registering a SBC participant after December 5th or on the day of the Conference.

• If there is a participant substitution, please contact the Texas SBC Director prior to the conference.
